          Currently there are many tourist attractions in Bandung that are favored by tourists. Because tourist attractions located in the city of Bandung always have characteristics and uniqueness that will not be found in other cities. History of the name of the Bandung Zoo

          To get to know more about this zoo, it never hurts to know the history of this zoo first. The origin of the name of the zoo was once very unique. Please note that at first the Zoo was formerly named "Derenten". In Sundanese the word derenten is also called the word direntuin.

          

          The word diententuin or derenten itself has a meaning that is zoo. This zoo tourist spot was built in 1930 by the Bandung Zoological Park (BZP) institution. During the Japanese occupation of Indonesia, the zoo became abandoned and neglected. Then in 1948 the zoo was renovated and rehabilitated.

Entrance Tickets And Operating Hours Bandung Zoo

           

          For tourists who are on vacation to West Java, especially the city of Bandung, it's not complete if you haven't visited the Bandung Zoo. Because the price of an affordable Zoo entrance ticket makes the number of visitors increase each year. The price of admission for the zoo from Monday to Sunday is IDR 40,000 per person.

          If the tourists come with a group the price of admission is IDR 32,500 per person, with the stipulation that the number of groups is at least 30 people. Whereas for children under the age of 3 years, the entrance fee will not be charged or free. This zoo is open every day ie Monday to Sunday and open from 8:00 to 16:00 WIB.

          The location of this zoo is very strategic, so that tourists will easily get to this place. This zoo was built on 14 hectares of land located on Jl. Zoo No.6 Lebak, Siliwangi, Coblong, Bandung City, West Java Province. The location of the zoo is also close to the tourist attractions Cikapayang Dago Park.
